Import - Interactive Brokers


To get the right statement for the Interactive Brokers import, please follow the steps below:


In your Interactive Brokers account, you have to set up our export requirements once.

The export definition is called a "Flex Query" and has to be setup by the steps:


Set up Flex Query:


  1. Log in to your Interactive Brokers account.
  2. In the top main menu, click on "Performance & Statements" and then under “Reports” click on "Flex Queries"
  3. Click on the blue plus icon next to the lower Trade Confirmation Flex Query box.
  4. Enter a name for the query.
  5. Click on "Trade Confirmation" under Sections and a new popup-window will open.
  6. Under options, select Orders and not Executions. 
  7. Click on "Select All".
  8. Under General Configuration, select "yyyyMMdd" under Date Format.
  9. Under Time Format, choose "HHmmss".
  10. Select "semi-colon" under Date/Time Separator
  11. Click on Continue.
  12. A new window will come up and provide a summary of your selections.
  13. Click on the "Create" button.
  14. A second window will show up, confirming that you have saved your Flex Query.
  15. Go ahead by clicking OK.
  16. Interactive Broker will take you back to the Flex Queries overview page now.

  17. Under "Trade Confirmation Flex Query", you can find the created query
  18. Click on the blue arrow button to download.
  19. Choose the period you want to export. Under Format, choose 'CSV'.
  20. Click Run and a file will be downloaded to your computer.



Now import the trades by the following steps:


  1. Select "Import" from the Ribbon-Bar
  2. Select "Interactive Brokers"
  3. Specify the file to import
