Import - Interactive Brokers
To get the right statement for the Interactive Brokers import, please follow the steps below:
In your Interactive Brokers account, you have to set up our export requirements once.
The export definition is called a "Flex Query" and has to be setup by the steps:
Set up Flex Query:
- Log in to your Interactive Brokers account.
- In the top main menu, click on "Performance & Statements" and then under “Reports” click on "Flex Queries"
- Click on the blue plus icon next to the lower Trade Confirmation Flex Query box.
- Enter a name for the query.
- Click on "Trade Confirmation" under Sections and a new popup-window will open.
- Under options, select Orders and not Executions.
- Click on "Select All".
- Under General Configuration, select "yyyyMMdd" under Date Format.
- Under Time Format, choose "HHmmss".
- Select "semi-colon" under Date/Time Separator
- Click on Continue.
- A new window will come up and provide a summary of your selections.
- Click on the "Create" button.
- A second window will show up, confirming that you have saved your Flex Query.
- Go ahead by clicking OK.
- Interactive Broker will take you back to the Flex Queries overview page now.
- Under "Trade Confirmation Flex Query", you can find the created query
- Click on the blue arrow button to download.
- Choose the period you want to export. Under Format, choose 'CSV'.
- Click Run and a file will be downloaded to your computer.
Now import the trades by the following steps:
- Select "Import" from the Ribbon-Bar
- Select "Interactive Brokers"
- Specify the file to import
